- : Release 4.01 currently running on my system.

- *sigh*
-
- I began writing this stuff up as a bug report after receiving the 2.1
- upgrade. That upgrade turned out to be meaningless for me, in terms of
- addressing the issues, concerns and featured *I* wanted to see addressed.
- I also had no luck getting answers and fixes from SoftWood's phone
- support (please don't take this personally, Woody: Joseph was very
- courteous and conscientious; just, everything I asked him about seemed
- to catch him at a loss (for example, I never *did* get a fix for FW not
- acknowledging the top margin)).
-
- I had hoped to get this to SoftWood in time to be incorporated into R3,
- but life happened, and it didn't. When R3 turned out to be similarly
- meaningless (see above), I modified my comments to reflect the changes I
- found in R3 (or tried to; I did my best to update this thoroughly), even
- if I *did* forget to change "2.1" to "3.0".
-
- I posted this for several reasons:
-
- 1: I feel there are some really good ideas here, and that the Amiga
- community might care;
-
- 2: If there are things I've missed or been unaware of, maybe
- someone will fill me in;
-
- 3: Maybe Woody and the folks @ SW will take on some of these ideas;
-
- 4: Maybe some of this will stimulate even better ideas from others;
-
- 5: Maybe word processor design will get a shot-in-the-arm;
-
- 6: Maybe word processors as a class will get a lot better;
-
- 7: The last file is a preface; I know it should have come first, but
- please read it.
-
- 8: Maybe R4 takes care of all of this & I just don't know it yet;
-
-
- And try not to get hung up on the number....
